You're either dead...or almost dead

Saturday, February 10, 2007

So over the past 2 weeks, people close to me or people close to those around me have been having a rough time. 3 dead, 1 almost dead (but doing better, thank God).

First off, my great-grandmother died 2 Sundays ago, January 28.

Second, a lady at work (my dad's partner's wife) had her favorite uncle, who she was very close to, die on the same day as my great-grandmother.

Third, another co-worker's mother died on January 31.

Lastly, another co-worker, who I work very closely with, had a heart attack almost died late this last Sunday night. Actually, he did technically die and was resuscitated and shocked back to life. He spent about 3 days in ICU, and then 2 days in a regular hospital room. And I had just spent all that week before with him getting ready for the expo we were at in Houston, and then at the expo. We even were hotel roommates in Houston. It was pretty scary and messed up for me.

I need a vacation or something to get my mind off all this morbidness. But I think we're gonna take a trip to San Antonio in March...so that will be nice.
