Ok, so this is really cool. In addition to the normal GPRS or EDGE networks that you have on most cell phones for data connection (internet, etc.), I also have this 3G network on my new phone/bomb launcher/PDA device. What the 3G network does is give you supposed broadband speed internet in areas where it is available. We don't have it in East Texas yet, but it is in larger cities like Dallas or Houston or whatever. So of course, being in Houston for 4 days now, I've been able to try it out. And I'll tell you what it is now......freakin great. I don't know if it actually hits broadband speeds, but it can't be far away. It loads webpages fast, sends emails fast, does everything fast. Makes a huge difference when you consider that the regular GPRS connection is only like a decent/good dial-up speed. So, the moral of the story is......I'm very happy.
And I'm still waiting for someone to get creative with a story for my previous post. Pick it up people.
