The day after Jesus' birthday (that's 'Hay-soose', by the way)

Tuesday, December 26, 2006

December 26...the day after christmas...possibly the worst day of the year to be out and about in various retail establishments...ok, maybe Black Friday (day after Thanksgiving) could be worse, but you get the point. What would I like to be doing today? Well, besides just sitting at home and somewhat relaxing, I'd be fine with heading to the office to work for the day. The last thing I'd want to be doing today would be getting out on the road going somewhere (besides the aforementioned home or office).

So, what am I doing today? Here we go....I'm driving with my dad to Ohio. Yes....Ohio. Now is where you ask, 'Why are you driving to Ohio?'. Well, let me tell you why. In September or October our company had a crew of 4 work a job in Ohio for about a month. My dad was one of those 4. They had rented an apartment or whatever and bought some basic appliances and whatever else, cause the client was paying for it, so why not. Well, the apartment is paid for through December with the possibility of more work coming up, so they left a bunch of stuff in the apartment. Well, the work isn't here yet, so that stuff has to get out of that apartment. So, we're driving up there to load up stuff and bring it back. That means about 16 hours up there, spending the night somewhere, load stuff, 16 hours back, possibly spending the night again before we get all the way back. We left at about 7:30 this morning. This should be fun....and cold.

And I'm still waiting on a story or two for 2 posts down.
