Monday excitement...and pics galore

Monday, August 27, 2007

So, it's Monday...back to the Groesbeck. But first, have to take care of some business. I had to go meet this guy and get some money he owed me for a gambling debt.

Luckily, the transaction went off with no complications, and he still has all his fingers. Then, it's time to hit the road. The whole 1 hour, 45 minute drive is good...until about 9 miles from Groesbeck, when this happens.

Just a warning though, which is a miracle in itself. And I know for a fact that I wasn't over 75 mph, and just wrote "speed above 70 mph", so I think he changed his mind after he'd already started pulling me over. So anyways, now I'm here at the trailer...watching some "Tommy Boy: Holy Schnike Edition" DVD.

If you haven't seen or heard already, I'm getting a tattoo. Yes, there's a story behind it, and if you don't know it already, just ask. It's a custom piece, not just something off the tattoo shop wall or out of a book. I'm going to a tattoo shop in Waco that I found...and I think the lady there is really good, from all her work I've seen. I gave her all of my ideas and designs I had come up with, and she ended up with something amazing. A whole, whole lot of time and energy went into designing this on my part. I wanted it to be exactly what I wanted, say exactly what I wanted it to say (both literally and figuratively)...and I think the final design she came up with is perfect. I checked out the artwork from the artist last Thursday before I headed back home for the weekend, and got a couple pictures of it. Let me know what ya think.

Will probably be going Wednesday to get this done....getting ready for 3 hours of needles.

i love the piece so far man, where are you going to put it? how deep are you going with the red?

It's goin on my upper arm...and it's about 7 or so inches tall, maybe 5 or so inches wide. The red isn't gonna be real dark...I'm thinking it'll be just a nice, bright red...but not annoying/bright/fireball red. Just something that's gonna pop and look good...I'm leaving it up to my artist mostly.
